MUSIC🎶
Oh! I forgot my ticket, but I remembered to carry my headphones. My mom keeps on complaining I am not listening to what she says because I am always on my ear pods.I am in class, the lecture has not arrived yet, there's alot of noise, at least I carried my earphones.I have been overthinking alot ,I feel like I am overwhelmed by my thoughts.. wait where's my headphones?
Did you know that according statistics, 80% of college students often carry earphones with them every time?
I was curious to know why..
" I would rather listen to music than engage In an argument "one of my classmates shared her thoughts with me.
Have you ever asked yourself what effect music has?
Listening to music can help reduce stress levels by triggering the release of endorphins, which are natural mood-enhancing chemicals in the brain. It promotes relaxation and can lower the production of stress hormones like cortisol.Interesting, I also learnt about this today..
Music has the power to uplift our mood and improve emotional states. Listening to favorite songs or genres can stimulate the brain to release dopamine, a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure and reward, leading to feelings of happiness and contentment.
Are you okay? most of the times it is very difficult to answer such questions. Music can provide a means of emotional expression when words may fall short. It allows individuals to connect with and convey their emotions, providing a cathartic outlet for emotional release.
Listening to calming or soothing music has been found to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. It can help individuals feel more relaxed, improve sleep quality, and alleviate feelings of sadness or worry.
I always wondered how some people read with music..Certain types of music, such as classical or instrumental tracks, can enhance focus and concentration. They can create a soothing background ambiance that helps to block out distractions and improve productivity.
Music has alot of therapeutical effects that includes;Pain management, social connections and support, memory and cognitive enhancement.I understand now why our chemistry teacher used to sing for us the periodic table in high school.Music can literally stimulate neural pathways and improve brain connectivity, leading to enhanced memory recall, cognitive processing, and learning abilities.
While the therapeutic effects of music can vary from person to person, it is clear that music has a powerful impact on our emotions, thoughts, and overall mental state. It can be used as a tool for relaxation, self-expression, and personal growth, offering solace in challenging times and enhancing our overall quality of life.
Feel free to dance to your favorite tune.. 🎵
